These days many developments in the fields of science and medicine are taking place all over and get the attention of many. One such is a bio printer designed by the researchers in Madrid in Spain. It must be noted that this bio printer could 3D print human skin and that is terrific piece of news.
Carlos 3 University present in Madrid in Spain is very famous university and as per the annual QS ranking this university is in the top 50 best universities across the world.
It is worthy to note that researchers of this university have developed a bio printer that could 3D print skin cells. It is great to mention that a bioengineering company titled ‘’ BioDan’’ group has been supporting this research work by the scientists of this university.
It is also said that Organovo which is a 3D bio printing company had previously signed an agreement with the L’ Oreal so that 3D printing of skin cells could be done. It is superb to note that this bio printer is of great use in printing human skin cells as these skin cells could be used for transplants or in research activities like testing of chemical, cosmetic products etc.
In the journal named ‘’Biofabrication’’ this research work has been published and author Jose Luis Jorcano who is a professor in this university in the department of bioengineering and aerospace engineering spoke highly about this bio printer that could 3D print human skin cells. He spoke about how new human skin is one of the first living human organs made by bio printing process.
It must be noted that bio-inks are very crucial this 3D bio printing and injectors along with biological components are used in creating skin.
